Head of Strategy & M&A / Business Development (f/m/div.)
Aufgaben
Bosch Building Technologies (BT) is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas Video Systems, Access Control & Intrusion Detection Systems and Communication Systems as well as the associated cross-sectional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner. The Integrator Business (IB) and the Fire Safety (FS) business unit will remain with Bosch Building Technologies.
As Head of Business Development, you will actively shape the strategic development of the Building Technology division and work with your team to develop scenarios for the Fire Safety (FS) business unit and the Integrator Business (IB) as well as their cross-divisional functions for sustainable and profitable further development.
The following tasks are central part of your role:
- Strategy development of BT together with the CEO and the board of Bosch BT.
- Analysis and recommendations about the portfolio strategy and growth areas.
- Market and competitor analysis and solid derivation of market potentials.
- Strategic focus topics: Recurring revenue / service strategy, segment-specific strategies (e.g. Building Automation), M&A strategy, regional sales / go-to-market strategies.
- Global M&A projects, internal consulting and Joint Venture projects from the conceptual phase to closing, in collaboration with our cooperate M&A and Venture Capital team.
- Leading and coaching the Business Development team with a outstanding degree of service orientation.
- Development support for new (digital) business models.
- Preparation and attendance of C-level customer and partner meetings.
Profil - Education: Degree in business administration or engineering, optional with MBA.
- Personality and Working Practice: You are a strong driver of ideas, projects and initiatives within the organization and a strong networker, an engaging and persuasive personality, a valuable internal advisor who inspires and leads by example, and demonstrate mental stability and a high level of interpersonal skills based on a personality of integrity and flexibility. Furthermore, you combine a strategic vision with your technical background to understand the market and customer needs and derive the future position of Bosch BT. Furthermore, you are able to present financial and technical information and bring analytical skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience and Knowledge: Min. 6-8 years of experience in business development and/or consulting positions with C-level exposure. Ideally experience in the service industry and know-how in Building Technologies (Building Automation and/or Security & Life Safety) with deep understanding of international B2B sales channels and customer requirements. You have proven experience in transactions (e.g. commercial or financial due diligence) and in handling related parties (e.g. Investment Banks or Consultancies). Experience in managing large relationship networks completes your profile.
- Languages: Excellent verbal and written skills in German and English (negotiating level), one further language preferred.
- Education: Degree in business administration or engineering, optional with MBA.
