Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Your tasks
- Lead the engineering team, achieving high levels of engagement, promoting a resilient, diverse, high performing team.
- To identify resources required to fulfil projects, assign individual responsibilities and monitor progress.
- To act as an internal liaison with all relevant departments and personnel throughout the duration of all projects to ensure that business requirements are met.
- Provide technical leadership and robust decision making on complex and varied engineering risks and solutions.
- To manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects.
- Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
- To develop project plans and track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders on a timely basis, including identified problems and solutions.
- Act as gatekeeper to ensure the appropriate levels of quality are maintained.
- Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business, coaching others to contribute to ongoing improvements both formally and through identified projects.
- Liaise with relevant personnel to efficiently manage the introduction of new products utilising the company's Advanced Product Quality Planning process.
Your profile - Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role for engineering in an international business
- Wide ranging depth and breadth of technical experience in own specialism with knowledge and application of engineering approaches
- Experience in Hydraulics is preferred
- Previous experience in change management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and across different cultures
- Adept at critical thinking and problem solving
- Able to prioritise effectively and successfully manage multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Effective influencing skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others
