Lead Quality Manager_BCSC

As an Engineering Product Quality (EPQ) for the projects in China and around the globe, you act as an integrated Quality Architect. You are the key driver for a tangible quality culture, empowering our local and global development teams of all solution fields to develop robust and excellent products for the Asian market and beyond.

You will serve as the central quality expert in the region, supporting audits in Southeast Asia and ensuring that local legal requirements are understood and implemented. You demonstrate excellent and precise communication, assertiveness, conflict resolution skills, and a strong sense of self-responsibility

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence as an Engineering Product Quality

• Operational Quality Assurance: you engage subject matter experts for the evaluation of engineering work products and critically interpret their assessments to ensure product quality. You evaluate product maturity and process conformity systematically apply problem-solving methods (e.g., 8Ds) and conduct technical risk analyses in case of deviations
• Strategic Guidance & Coaching: You coach development teams at eye-level to integrate quality from the very beginning ("shift-left" approach).
• Efficiency and Innovation: You promote the automation of quality processes and leverage data and the potential of AI to continuously increase the efficiency of quality assurance.

2. Regional Audit Support

• You actively support the planning, execution, and follow-up of internal and external audits (e.g., ISO-Norms, ASPICE) at our sites within the Southeast Asia region.
• You act as a competent expert and support local teams in preparing the audits

3. Ensuring Local Compliance

• Local Laws & Standards: You support the identification, assessment, and interpretation of local Chinese and East Asian laws and regulations relevant to our products.
• Implementation Review: You work with the teams to review and ensure the correct implementation of these requirements within the projects.

• Education: Master`s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Quality Management Experience: Several years of professional experience in software quality management, ideally in the automotive sector. Experience with agile development methods is a strong plus.
• Methodology Expertise: In-depth knowledge of quality methods and standards (e.g., 8D, RAPEX, FMEA, ASPICE).
• Audit Experience: Proven experience in supporting and conducting product audits (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and coaching skills to advise teams at a peer level and to present complex topics in an understandable manner.
• Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin), written and spoken.
• Intercultural Competence: High degree of intercultural sensitivity and the ability to work successfully in a global, distributed team.
• Proactivity and Initiative: A "can-do" mentality with the courage to challenge processes and actively drive transformation.
• Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally within the Southeast Asia region.
